The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the respondent to pay the petitioner interest for the belated payment of his terminal benefits namely the PF, earned leave salary and gratuity at the rate of 12% per annum and to settle the amounts under the IRT, social security scheme, post retirement benefits fund and family benefit fund with interest at the rate of 12% per annum within a specified time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had retired from the services of the respondent on 31.07.2022 as Senior Tradesman, and made a representation dated 06.01.2025 to the respondent seeking interest for the belated payment of the terminal benefits such as PF, earned leave salary and gratuity and to settle the amounts under the IRT, social security scheme, post retirement benefits fund and family benefit fund along with interest, there was no response for the same.
3. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2/5
respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the said representation of the petitioner within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the said fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2025, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
