ORDER

This Petition has been filed by the petitioner/ mother seeking to declare the petitioner as the sole permanent and legal Guardian of the minor child Dheeksha S. Harshavardhana and to grant permanent physical and legal custody of the minor child.

2. Heard Ms.Geeta Ramaseshan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Ms.R.V.Rukmani, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3. When the matter was taken up today, the learned counsel appearing on either side would submit that the parties have reached a settlement and that the consent affidavit has also been filed by the respondent/ father relinquishing the visitation rights and custody of the minor child. The said consent affidavit was placed before this Court. The respondent was also present before this Court and he acknowledges the consent affidavit filed by him.

4. A perusal of the consent affidavit would indicate that the respondent considering the best interest and welfare of the minor child had relinquished his right of visitation and custody of the minor child and 2/4

also expressed his willingness to declare the petitioner/ mother as the sole guardian.

5. The said consent affidavit dated 01.08.2025 filed by the respondent is taken on record.

6. In view of the categorical averments made in the consent affidavit, this Original Petition is disposed of and the petitioner who is the mother of the minor child is appointed as the guardian of the person of the minor child and she is also entitled to have the permanent custody of the minor child. No costs.
