ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to direct the respondent to consider the representation, dated 03.06.2019 submitted by each of the petitioner on its merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within the time frame stipulated by the Court and further direct the respondent not to proceed on the basis of the notice, dated 25.06.2019 bearing Na.Ka.No.223/2017/A2.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioners are pending in arrears of rent. Their request for reduction of rent cannot be considered when the arrears of rent is due from them. After clearing the entire arrears of rent, the petitioners are at liberty to submit their representation for reduction of rent.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent, the petitioners are directed to clear the arrears of rent and thereafter shall submit their representation before the respondent. On such receipt of the representation by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 26.09.2024 Jer G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.,
