Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 4th respondent to pay the entire compensation amount of Rs.1,56,470/- to the petitioner.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the 4th respondent to pay the entire compensation amount of Rs.1,56,470/- to the petitioner. 2.However, the learned counsel for the 3rd respondent filed a memo on 12th July 2017, which reads as under: "1.The 3rd Respondent insurer confirms that the award made in WC.No.87/2001-DCL, Tirunelveli, for Rs.1,06,470/- payable by this Respondent Insurance https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Company was duly satisfied by depositing the said award amount on 03.01.2003 itself by way of deposit before 4th Respondent herein.

2.Despite sincere search-the 3rd Respondent regrets that it is not able to trace the deposit receipt for the said sum though records disclose satisfaction of the award by deposit dated 03.01.2003. 3.It is humbly submitted that this memo may be accepted and recorded as proof of satisfaction of the award made in W.C.No.87/2001, DCL, Tirunelveli in the interest of justice."

3.In view of the memo filed by the 3rd respondent, no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition. However, if any grievances exists for the writ petitioner, it is left open to the writ petitioner to adjudicate the same in the manner known to law. 4.Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
