ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 11.07.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for appointment of an adhoc committee under Section 32(2) (g) of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Act. 2.

Heard Mr.A.K.T.Mohammed Kaliffathulla, learned counsel for the petitioner and M/s.Swathi Priya Raj, learned counsel for respondent. 3.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the management committee was constituted by the Board through proceedings dated 24.07.2011 with a fixed term. However, ever after the completion of the term, no steps were taken to conduct an election. Hence, a representation was given on 11.07.2024 requesting for appointment of an adhoc committee under the provisions of the Act. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction

to the respondent to act upon the representation dated 11.07.2024 and take a decision in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
