... Respondents / Respondents These cases are taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr.M.Malar, learned counsel for the Appellant/claimant in both cases and Mr.D.Baskaran, learned counsel for the 2nd
respondent/Insurance Company in both cases are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows: TERMS OF SETTLEMENT In C.M.A.No.1663 of 2026, the Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.43,000/- [Rupees Forty Three Thousand Only], together with interest at 7.5% per annum, from the date of filing of this petition till the date of realization, payable by the 2 nd respondent herein. Aggrieved by the award of the Tribunal, the appellant herein /claimant in M.C.O.P.No.675 of 2017, preferred this appeal. 2.
In C.M.A.No.1664 of 2026, the Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.35,000/- [Rupees Thirty Five Thousand Only], together with interest at 7.5% per annum, from the date of filing of this petition till the date of realization, payable by the 2nd respondent herein. Aggrieved by the award of the Tribunal, the appellant herein /claimant in M.C.O.P.No.674 of 2017, preferred this appeal. 3.
After due deliberation and consultation, both the parties have agreed to settle the award to a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Only) in each appeals, over and above the award amount of the Tribunal, as full quit compensation, inclusive of the interest.

The second respondent/ insurance company in both appeals is directed to deposit the amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Only) each, now arrived today, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order in M.C.O.P.Nos.674 and 675 of 2017 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, III Court of Small Causes, Chennai and on such deposit, the appellants/claimants are directed to withdraw the same. 5.
The Tribunal is directed to transfer the amount through RTGS/NEFT to the parties concerned on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition.

These Civil Miscellaneous Appeals are disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected civil miscellaneous petitions, if any stand closed. No costs.
