Prayer :- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st and 3rd Respondents to verify the affiliation certificate of the 4th Respondent's Association and take appropriate action against the 4th Respondent if it is not affiliated.

ORDER
The writ of mandamus has been filed to direct the 1st and 3rd Respondents to verify the affiliation certificate of the 4th Respondent's Association and take appropriate action

Learned counsel for the 2nd respondent Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu furnished the copy of the proceedings dated 01.12.2023, issued by the Chief Executive Officer / Member Secretary, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu, indicating that the genuinity of the 4th respondent's Certificate had already been verified and the Sports Development Authority has recognised the 4th respondent Association provisionally.

3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Illamvaludhi would object that the word Tamil Nadu cannot be used in view of the amendment issued under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act.
4. In this regard, the petitioner is at liberty to give a separate complaint to the competent authority under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act and the Authorities competent shall conduct an inquiry and take a decision on this aspect.
5. With this liberty, the writ petition stands disposed off. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 09.02.2024 Index : Yes Speaking Order (sha) 3/5
