This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30/08/2017 seeking survey of the petitioner property situated at Kinar village, Madurantakam Taluk, Chengalpattu District (Earlier Kancheepuram District) Comprised in Old Survey No.408/1 and New Survey No.662/13 admeasuring to extent of 256 square metres (7 1/2 cents). ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 30.08.2017, wherein the petitioner is seeking for survey of the subject property belonging to the petitioner.

Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the respondent has called the petitioner for preliminary enquiry on 15.12.2020 at 11.00 a.m. The learned Special Government Pleader further submitted that the petitioner can be present at the time of enquiry along with all the relevant documents and a decision shall be taken by the respondent with regard to the survey of the property within the time limit fixed by this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the respondent has already called the petitioner for preliminary enquiry, there shall be a direction to the respondent to conduct the enquiry and complete the process strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
