ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 18.10.2019.

2.Learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that a pumping water irrigation canal is running from East to West near the Petitioner's house. The canal was not a natural one and it was a man made system. The Petitioner had also provided his own land to excavate the canal. After excavation, he planted some trees on the Northern side of of the canal. The residents, who are residing in North and South bank of the canal had 2/5

encroached the canal. However, the Revenue Inspector under the influence of one Ramadass/4th respondent, had issued notice to the Petitioner on 15.07.2019 stating that the Petitioner has encroached upon the canal and planted some trees. In this regard, the Petitioner had submitted his representations dated 24.07.2019 to the second Respondent and another representation dated 18.10.2019 to the first and second respondents refusing the allegations made against him. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking for appropriate directions.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the Respondents.

4.Taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition to direct the first Respondent to consider the representation dated 18.10.2019, the first Respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the Petitioner on 18.10.2019, within a period of four weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
