O R D E R

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence under Section 4(3) of Tamil Nadu Gaming and Police Laws Act, 1930 (Amendment 2021) r/w Section 318 (4) of BNS Act, 2023 in Crime No.80 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the respondent was on regular search was found that the petitioner along with other accused running cotton gaming and thereby cheating the public.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent submitted that the petitioner having bad antecedents and also having 7 previous cases of similar in nature and the investigation is pending. Hence, he oppose to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the nature of allegation, the previous antecedents of the petitioner, and taking note of the fact that investigation of this case is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 22.09.2025 ssi 2/4
