Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 23.09.2021 in D.O.No.80/2021-C2 against the petitioner's daughter Vasanthi w/o.Viji @ Vijayakumar, aged 34 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Vellore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by R.HEMALATHA, J] The petitioner is the father of the detenue viz., Vasanthi w/o.Viji @ Vijayakumar, aged 34 years. The detenue has been detained by the second respondent by his order in D.O.No.80/2021-C2 dated 23.09.2021, holding her to be a "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detention order passed against the detenue in D.O.No.80/2021-C2 dated 23.09.2021, on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.5789, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 26.11.2021 and produced a copy of the said order.

In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
