ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.10.2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act in Crime No.3577 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 21.10.2020, when the respondent police was conducting vehicle check up, the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 1 Kg 100 grams of Ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and she has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police would vehemently oppose stating that the petitioner is habitual offender against whom there are four previous cases, out of which, three cases are for NDPS and one is for prohibition offence.

5. Taking into consideration the submissions made on either side, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
