Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner dated 07.04.2016 for making sub-division in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.275/1, 0.5 cents situate in Vengaivasal Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and issue separate patta in the name of the petitioner within a reasonable time.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims to be the owner of the property admeasuring to an extent of 5 cents out of 15 cents in S.No.275/1 through registered sale deeds dated 17.09.1984, bearing document Nos.5879 and 5897/1984 and as per the revenue records, the above said property stand jointly in the name of Appu, Kannan and Kaka Gopal and on account of his purchase, he is entitled to get his name incorporated in the relevant revenue https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

records. The petitioner, has submitted a representation dated 02.09.2015, to the second respondent praying for necessary subdivision in respect of the property in question and also expressed the grievance that the name of one Kannan has been wrongly included in the joint patta and in this regard, has submitted a representation dated 07.04.2016 to the first respondent with copy marked to the second respondent and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Muthappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

4.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2016, in accordance with law and after putting on notice, the third respondent, pass orders, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the third respondent. 5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
