ORDER

This Writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd and 3rd respondents to process the petitioner's application and provide electricity service connection to his property.

2. The case of the petitioner is that, the petitioner is in occupation of the Government land comprised in S.No.244/2, Sengodachinnahalli Village, Krishnagiri for the past 25 years, by constructing a house and the petitioner is doing agricultural activities in the said land. While so, the petitioner made an application before the 2nd & 3rd respondents, seeking agricultural service connection to the said land. Though the petitioner has submitted all necessary documents including the indemnity bond (Form-3) along with his application, however, till date, the said application was not processed by the respondents. Hence, this Writ petition.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd & 3rd respondents to process the petitioner's 2/5

application and provide electricity service connection to his land, as expeditiously as possible.

4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that, petitioner's application will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed, after conducting appropriate enquiry, within a time stipulated by this Court.

5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court, with going into the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's application on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after conducting a detailed enquiry by providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and aggrieved persons, if any.

6. With the above directions, this Writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
