Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 1 to 3 to remove the name of the petitioner from the rowdy list or history sheet maintained by the 1st and 2nd respondents. For Petitioner : Mr.A.M.Rahamath Ali For Respondents : Mr.A.Damodharan, Addl. Public Prosecutor.

ORDER

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the Respondents to remove the name of the petitioner from history sheet maintained by the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The petitioner is an active politician. Due to the fight between two groups several cases and counter cases had been registered from the year 2014 - 2015. At that time, the petitioner's name had been added in the history list in H.S.No.231 of 2013. Thereafter no case has been registered against the petitioner. He further submitted that he had sent several representations to remove his name from the History Sheet maintained by the first respondent and lastly, he has sent a representation on 08.08.2021 to the Superintendent of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Police, Cuddalore. But, no action has been taken so far. Hence the present petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 27.07.2021 was received by the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore and the same is under process.

4. In view of the same, the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
