ORDER

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the Respondents to remove the name of the petitioner from history sheet maintained by the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, who belongs to Scheduled Caste community, had completed B.Com degree. Earlier, some cases were registered as against him due to group clash in his village and his name was added in the History Sheeter list in H.S.No.4 of 2017. Thereafter, no case has been registered as against the petitioner. Now, except two cases, all other cases are ended in acquittal and no fresh cases have been registered as against the petitioner. representations to remove his name from the History Sheet maintained by the first respondent and lastly, he has sent a representation on 27.07.2021 to the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore. But, no action has been taken so far. Hence the present petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 27.07.2021 was received by the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore and the same is under process.

4. In view of the same, the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
