... Respondents Prayer:

Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records connected with the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in his Proc.Na.Ka.No. 065001/B6/2002 dated 03.03.2003 and quash the same insofar as the petitioner is concerned and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to issue the corrected X Standard Certificate to his son after verification of the records.

For Petitioner :

Mr.R.Rengaramanujam For Respondents :

Mr.P.Senthilvel, Government Advocate

O R D E R

The petitioner has challenged the order dated 03.03.2003 rejecting his claim for correcting his son's date of birth as 05.06.1987 instead of 03.05.1985, which has wrongly reflected in the X Standard Certificate.

2.

When the matter is called before this Court, Mr.P. Senthilvel, learned Government Advocate would submit that the X standard certificate of the petitioner's son, namely, P. Rajkumar, after incorporating the correction in his date of birth, had already been issued to the petitioner and the same was also collected by him.

3.

The above submission made by the learned Government Advocate is evident from the communication dated 04.08.2004 of the Director of Government Examinations, Chennai - 6 addressed to the Joint Secretary, Education Department, Fort St. George, Chennai-9.

4.

In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
