Mr.N.Palanivel, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) Order The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 4(1)(A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024 in Crime No.22 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner is involved in procuring 672 bottles of liquor 180 ML. and while he was selling the same on Thiruvalluvar Day i.e. 16.01.2026, acting on prior information, the respondent police visited the place, the petitioner ran away after seeing the police. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court and ready to co-operate with the investigation. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner is having one previous cases similar in nature, and also submitted that there was a huge quantity involved in this case. Hence, he vehemently opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the totality circumstances of the case and on the fact that, there was huge quanitity of 672 bottles of 180 ml liquor were recovered from the petitioner, and on the further fact that the petitioner is having one previous

case of similar in nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
