The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to disburse the petitioner's differential sum of Gratuity and leave encashment benefits based on Dearness Allowance revision with effect from 01.01.2019 with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the said date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that when the petitioner, who had retired from the service of the 1st respondent on 31.03.2019 as Special Grade Conductor, made a representation dated 18.04.2025 to the respondents seeking differential sum of Gratuity and leave encashment benefits based on Dearness Allowance with effect from 01.01.2019 along with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the said date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement. 2/6
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the said representation made by the petitioner within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Though there is disputed facts between the parties, taking into consideration of the fact that the representation made by the petitioner is yet to be considered, this Court without going into merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 18.04.2025 and pass order on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
