ORDER

Earlier, this Court by an order dated 04.07.2025 directed the learned Principal Family Court, Coimbatore to dispose of HMOP No. 1141 of 2022 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Since the said case could not be disposed of within the time stipulated by this court, the court below by letter dated 16.03.2026 sought for extension of time. Hence, the matter is listed before this court today.

2. The learned Principal Judge, Principal Family Court, Coimbatore submitted that on the receipt of this Court order, the stage of petition is for cross continuation of P.W.1 and due to his ward Board exam, she had taken long Earned Leave. Therefore, the court below was unable to dispose the petition within the time fixed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant further time of two months to dispose the case.

3. Considering the request of the learned Principal Judge, Principal Family Court, Coimbatore, this court is inclined to extend the time for the period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order to comply with the order of this court. However, time granted by this court will not be extended further.
