ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to direct the first respondent to dispose the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.08.2021.

2. The petitioner submitted representation to cancel the press release No.81 of first respondent dated 16.05.2021. In fact, the very same press release was challenged before this court in W.P.No.14404 of 2021. This Court passed an order dated 14.07.2021 thereby dismissed the said writ petition with an observation that the petitioner cannot be aggrieved by the impugned press release unless the registration of the political parties in question is cancelled or rescinded or suspended for any reason by the election commission and that the petitioner can ventilate his grievance in an appropriate manner. Therefore, the petitioner sought permission to withdraw the said writ petition. The said writ petition was dismissed as withdrawn.

3. The petitioner submitted representation to cancel the very same 2/4

press release. That apart, on perusal of the press release, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu formed a committee in order to give proper suggestion to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Now, the Covid19 pandemic situation has been over. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered.
