Mr.M.Rajasekar, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioners seek for a mandamus directing the respondent to issue the name transfer order and also to execute the registered sale deed in their favour in respect of the property situated at No.18/411, N.S.K.Nagar, 22nd Street, Arumbakkam, Chennai-600 106, based on their representation dated 15.09.2016.

3. It is stated by the petitioners that the subject matter property, which is a vacant plot, was originally allotted to the father of the petitioners, by name Dasarathan and that he occupied the above said vacant property in the year 1965 and put up a hut therein. It is also stated by the petitioners that the petitioners' family is residing in the said property all along, while the father of the petitioners, namely the said Dasarathan died in the year 1994. It is stated that the petitioners' mother also died on 13.10.2016. Therefore, the petitioners who are residing in the said property, are seeking for name transfer and also for execution of the sale deed in their favour. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioners have made a representation on 15.09.2016. It is stated that the said representation is still pending for consideration before the respondent.

Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the respondent to consider the said representation of the petitioners dated 15.09.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
