ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant Patta for the land in possession of the petitioner party situated at Devikapuram Village, Chetpet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District Comprised in survey No.318/1, New S.No.452 in the name of the Congress Committee, considering the petitioners' representation dated 20.06.2024 and 06.02.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners are in possession and occupation of the subject land, classified as Gramma Natham, comprised in Survey No.318/1, New Survey No.452, admeasuring 10 cents, situated in Devikapuram Village, Chetpet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District. The building constructed in the said land is utilized as Congress Committee Office and the 1st petitioner is the president of the Village 2/6
Congress Committee and the 2nd Petitioner is the President of the Taluk Congress Committee and the tax receipts pertaining to the property is issued in the name of the 2nd Petitioner.
3.1. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the 1st petitioner had submitted a representation dated 20.06.2024 and 06.02.2025 to the respondents requesting for grant of Patta in the name of the committee. The Respondents at the time of considering the request for grant of Patta, had orally stated that the Government has banned issuance of Patta for Gramanatham Lands or Government Lands.
3.2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that subsequently, Government issued G.O.Ms.No.97 dated 21.02.2025, wherein the possession holders of the house sites in Gramanatham lands are eligible for the grant of Patta. It is further submitted that the 1st petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2024 and 06.02.2025 is still pending before the respondents and no action has been taken till date. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed before this Court.
4. At the outset, it is submitted by the learned Government Advocate 3/6
appearing for the respondents that the representations dated 20.06.2024 and 06.02.2025 would be considered in the light of G.O.Ms.No.97 dated 21.02.2025 and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 20.06.2024 and 06.02.2025, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.97 dated 21.02.2025 and pass appropriate orders, after giving prior notice and a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
