Prabhu For R2 COMMON ORDER The petitioner have filed these writ petitions seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the representation dated 20.06.2024 and direct the 3rd respondent to allot a shop at the marina loop road fish market.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are regularly selling fish in the loop road. The Government started constructing a new fish market in the loop road and decided to shift all the fish vendors in Nochikuppam loop road to the new market, for which, a list of regular vendors was taken by the Government for allotment of new shops in the market and the market is about to be 4/7
completed. To the shock and surprise of the petitioners, their names were not found in the allotment list published by the Government. Hence, the petitioners made representation to the respondents for allotting the shop at the marina loop road fish market, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 20.06.2024 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.
3.Considering the limited relief sought for in these writ petitions, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 20.06.2024, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
