The present Contempt Petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.436 of 2024 dated 19.01.2024.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that a Show Cause Notice under Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act had been issued and an explanation had also been received and that under Section 205 (ii) of the Act, fair opportunity must be given to the delinquent and only thereafter orders could be passed.

4. It is pointed out by the learned counsel for the petitioner that proceedings had been initiated after filing of the show cause notice. The contempt petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Court again if necessity arises.
