O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2020 to increase the rent for his

Tasmac Shop No.3429 situated at Cholakkadai Veedhi T.S.No.544/1, Tiruppur District.

2. The petitioner had rented out his building to Tasmac for a sum of Rs.2,252/- from the year 2003. While he rented out the shop, it was built in roofing tiles. Later, on the request of the respondents, the petitioner had obtained permission from the Dharapuram Corporation and constructed the shop in RCC Roof. Immediately after completion of the construction, he had handed over the possession to the respondents on 01.10.2019. But till date, the respondents had not increased the rent as per the rent controller act. The petitioner had sent a detailed representation to the respondents dated 01.07.2020 seeking to increase the rent. But the same has been kept pending till date. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on both sides and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.07.2020, enquire into the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the persons interested in this regard and by affording them an opportunity of personal hearing or virtual hearing or otherwise, considering their written objections and after verifying the relevant documents, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
