This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both parties are present. The learned counsel for the petitioners Mr.P.G.Thiyagu and Mr.T.Prabhakaran, learned counsel for the respondent are present. The matter is settled as follows: 1/5

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties along with their respective counsels are present. 2.

N.S.Sakthivel complainant filed the case before the trial Court under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, as against the respondents.

The trial Court convicted the respondents A.Arockia Doss and T.Tamilselvi. The respondents filed an appeal before the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai with an application to condone the delay. The application to condone the delay was dismissed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai. Aggrieved by the dismissal of the application for condonation of delay, the present Crl.R.C.No.1549 of 2023 was filed by the respondents.

The complainant and the respondents have entered into negotiation and arrived at a compromise. They have also filed the Memo of Joint Compromise before the Lok Adalat. 5.

The respondents have agreed to pay a sum of Rs.7,00,000/- to the complainant. Out of the above sum of 2/5

Rs.7,00,000/-, the Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- was handed over to the complainant today. A sum of Rs.1,00,000/- bearing Cheque No.080325 dated 13.03.2024, was handed over today to the complainant. The respondents have agreed to pay the remaining amount of Rs.3,50,000/- and issued the Cheque bearing No.080321 dated 13.07.2024, for the said amount and handed over the same to the complainant.

In the above terms and conditions, both the parties have agreed to compromise the issues arise between them and they have also filed a Memo of Joint Compromise before the Lok Adalat. 7.

In terms of the above compromise arrived at between the parties, the conviction and sentence passed by the trial Court stands set aside. Consequently, the Criminal Revision petition filed in the High Court stands closed.
