Heard Mr.V.Vijay Shankar, learned counsel for the petitioner.
2.Mr.J.Pothiraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.
3.By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 4.The grievance of the petitioner is that, he had retired from service as Junior Assistant, as early as on 31.08.2008, but, during his period of service, he was not granted due promotions. According to him, he was punished only once in his career by way of cut in increment for a period of three years on 23.08.2005, and no other punishment was imposed on him. 5.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, despite only one punishment being imposed, the petitioner was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
not granted due promotions at the appropriate time during his period of employment.
6.In this regard, it appears that the petitioner had been making representations and a final representation had been made on 28.02.2018. Since the said representation has not been responded, he is before this Court for issue of Writ of Mandamus. 7.Considering the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent to dispose of the representation said to have been made by the petitioner on 28.02.2018 with reference to the Government Instructions issued on the subject matter within a period of eight weeks' from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
