O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to delete the petitioner's name from the history sheet rowdy list on the basis of the petitioner's representations dated 16.2.2024 and 20.3.2024 within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-Police submitted that the third respondent-Police registered a case against the petitioner in Crime No.136 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 147, 354A, 506(2) of the IPC and Section 10, 9(g) and 9(m) of the Protection of Child from Sexual Offences Act. Hence, the petitioner's name has been included in the history sheet. He further submitted that respondent-Police will consider the petitioner's representation.

4. On a perusal of the records, it is seen that the petitioner involved in only one case ie., in Spl.S.C.No.119 of 2024 on the file of the learned District Sessions Judge, Mayiladuthurai. Except that case, no other case is pending against the petitioner.

5. In view of the above, the respondent-Police is directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 16.2.2024 and 20.3.2024 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law.

6. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
