Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to cause necessary enquiries through their administrative machinery to take action in the matter of encroachments or sale of the lands by fabricating documents in respect of the Government lands in S.Nos.390, 390/A, 374 in No.37, Varadarajapuram Village in Nasarathpet, Poonamallee Taluk, Tiruvallur District and restore the lands to the extent of 12.74 acres to the Government administration.

O R D E R

(The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) This petition has been languishing for the last six years without any response from the respondents. The petitioner appears to have also not taken much interest in the matter.

2. The grievance made in the present petition is qua encroachments of the Government land in S.Nos.390, 390/A, 374 in No.37 Varadarajapuram Village in Nasarathpet, Poonamallee Taluk, Tiruvallur District to the extent of 12.74 acres.

3. In view of all the aforesaid facts and circumstances, we direct the third respondent to examine the matter and if any infirmity is found, to take action in accordance with law, after notice to all concerned. This exercise be carried out within three months from the date of receipt of the order.
