The limited prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, seeking for medical treatment of the petitioner's husband, who is now confined at Central Prison, Palayamkottai. According to the petitioner,

she intends to take treatment for her husband's injuries in the leg and hand, to be undertaken at Kaveri Hospital, Vannarpettai, Tirunelveli, where better facilities are available.

2.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced a copy of the Accident Register dated 04.06.2025, which has recorded that there are injuries in the leg and hand. We are convinced on the claim of the petitioner, that her husband has sustained injuries and may require medical treatment.

3.Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the respondents herein to forthwith permit the petitioner's husband, the convict prisoner viz. Thiyagarajan @ Thiyagu, S/o.Kumar, to undergo medical treatment at Kaveri Hospital, Vannarpettai, Tirunelveli, in any event, within a period of two (2) days from today, with escort. The medical expenses for the medical treatment shall be borne by the petitioner. We, further order that during the medical treatment, the petitioner alone can be the attendant and no third persons shall be permitted to visit the petitioner.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
