ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to quash the order dated 22.08.2021 made in Application Number TN-7202108192985 passed by 1/4

the respondent and consequently to direct the respondent to issue legal heir certificate for the deceased Gomathi, as per Hindu Succession Act, 1956.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the sole petitioner died long back.

However, the legal heirs of the petitioner have not taken steps to substitute themselves in the place of the deceased petitioner. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed as abated. However, the legal heirs of the petitioner are at liberty to restore the writ petition by filing substitution petition in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
