ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent produced the communication dated 01.07.2025, wherein the petitioner was informed that the respondent cannot consider the claim made by the petitioner seeking for enhancement of compensation. The learned Special Government Pleader also submitted that the file has been forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Krishnagiri in order to enable the concerned authority to deal with the request made by the petitioner seeking for enhanced compensation. The copy of the relevant communication dated 30.06.2025 was also placed before this Court.

2. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Krishnagiri to deal with the request made by the petitioner and if required, an enquiry shall be conducted and the petitioner shall be informed the decision taken within a period of two weeks thereafter.

3. With the above direction, this contempt petition stands closed.
