ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by HULUVADI G.RAMESH,J) The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to proceed with the enquiry regarding verification of Kurumans (ST) community certificate, issued to him.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate, who was directed to take notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he joined the service of the third respondent bank in the year 1985. At that time, he has produced the community certificate. Subsequently, the third respondent bank sent the community certificate of the petitioner for verification to the authority concerned and the District Collector, Dharmapuri, cancelled the community certificate. Hence, the petitioner filed W.P.No.7917 of 1998 before this Court and this Court remitted the matter back to the District Level Scrutiny Committee for denovo proceedings. Though notice was issued by the District Level Scrutiny Committee, for enquiry, nothing was heard thereafter. Hence, the petitioner made representations dated 16.3.2009, 18.10.2013 and 11.01.2016 to the District Level Scrutiny Committee. Since no orders are forthcoming from the District Level Scrutiny Committee, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

4. In view of the above factual matrix, it is for the State Level Scrutiny Committee to secure further report, if any, from the competent authority and also relying upon the documents produced by the petitioner and the reports of the authority concerned and other supporting documents, shall dispose of the matter within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
