This writ petition has been filed, challenging the order of the 1st respondent dated 14.06.2007 and consequently, directing the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner by upgrading the Sevathur Pudur Panchayat Union Middle School, Kandili Panchayat Union, Vellore District into a High School. 2.However, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is given to the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner, on submitting a fresh representation by the petitioner, for which, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection.
3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, the petitioner is permitted to submit a fresh representation to the respondents with regard to the upgradation of the petitioner school within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such submission, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner within a period of six weeks thereafter.
4.Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
