The Principal Accountant General of Tamil Nadu Teynampet, Chennai-18 ..Respondents in all WPs Prayer:- These Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondents 1 to 3 to count the half of service rendered by the Petitioners' husbands as Plot Watchers from 21.10.1983 to 06.08.2009 along with the regular service from 07.08.2009 till the date of retirement* on 21.06.2012, 01.5.1985 to 6.8.2009 along with the regular service from 07.08.2009 till the date of retirement on 30.10.2015 and 10.9.1982 to 6.8.2009 on temporary basis along with the regular service from 07.08.2009 till the date of retirement* on 30.4.2016 respectively, as qualifying service for the purpose of conferment of pension and to direct the Respondents to send pension proposal to the 4th Respondent.

ORDER

These Writ Petitions are filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondents 1 to 3 to count the half of service rendered by the Petitioners' husbands as Plot Watchers from 21.10.1983 to 06.08.2009 along with the regular service from 07.08.2009 till the date of retirement* on 21.06.2012, 01.5.1985 to 6.8.2009 along with the regular service from 07.08.2009 till the date of retirement* on 30.10.2015 and 10.9.1982 to 6.8.2009 along with the regular service from 07.08.2009 till the date of retirement* on 30.4.2016 respectively, as qualifying service for the purpose of conferment of pension and to direct the Respondents to send pension proposal to the 4th Respondent.

2. This court heard the learned counsel on either side and also perused the materials placed on record.

3. Though the prayers in these Writ Petitions are for larger reliefs, the learned counsel for the petitioners has confined his argument to the limited extent of directing the 2nd Respondent to consider and dispose of the representations of the Petitioners dated 17.1.2014, 5.4.2016 and 30.5.2016, expeditiously.

4. Considering the limited prayer now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd Respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representations of the petitioners dated 17.1.2014, 5.4.2016 and 30.5.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above directions, these Writ Petition are disposed of. No costs.
