ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to pass orders granting appointment to the petitioner in the post of Junior Assistant in the existing vacancy in Villupuram Education District based on the qualification of the petitioner as per G.O.Ms.No.1499, Labour and Employment (G1) Department dated 03.08.1989 in the light of the orders passed in the writ appeals in W.A.Nos.778 & 779 of 2017 dated 03.07.2018 for granting promotion of the petitioner, in consideration of representation submitted by the petitioner dated 22.11.2021.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Office Assistant on 03.10.2018, in School Education Department on compassionate grounds, his father V.Sampasivam, employed as Junior Assistant expired on 05.10.2004. It is his grievance that prior to his appointment in the year 2018, he had completed his Bachelor Degree in the year 2013, hence, he is eligible for promotion to the post of Junior Assistant. Therefore, he made representation to the respondents on 22.11.2021, which is pending without consideration till date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court 2/4

issues direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2021 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader has no objection for the said order being passed.

5. Considering the limited relief as sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, issues direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2021 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
