Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petition dated 01.06.2018 given by the petitioner to survey the land belonging to the petitioner admeasuring 1800 sq.ft of land situated at Plot No.6 in Usha Nagar Extension bearing S.No.532/26, Nandhivaram Village, Chengalpet Taluk, Kancheepuram District bearing Patta No.6088. ORDER

By way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his petition dated 01.06.2018 to survey the land belonging to him admeasuring 1800 sq.ft., situated at Plot No.6 in Usha Nagar Extension bearing S.No.532/26, Nandhivaram Village, Chengalpet Taluk, Kancheepuram District, bearing Patta No.6088.

2. The petitioner claims to be the absolute owner of the property admeasuring 1800 sq.ft., situated at Plot No.6, Usha Nagar Extension, Nandhivaram Village, Chengalpet. The said property was purchased by him vide a sale deed dated 10.12.1996 bearing No.3703/1996 registered on the file of the Sub-Registrar https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Office, Guduvancherry. Thereafter, he had also obtained patta in his name in respect of the said survey number having an extent of 1.70 Ares. With this background, he has approached the Tahsildar to survey the land belonging to him on payment of requisite fee. However, his grievance has not been considered till date.

3. Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Additional Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondents sought four weeks time to dispose of his petition dated 01.06.2018.

4. This Court, considering the limited prayer, hereby directs the petitioner to send one more application to the authorities along with a copy of this order as well as a copy of the patta standing in his name within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of such application, the respondents are directed to survey the land in question within a period of four weeks thereafter.
