ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to direct the respondents to provide electricity service connection for his house situated at No.9-38/NA - Elathur, Kattuvalavu, Nadupatti Post, Kadiyampatti Taluk, Salem District as per application dated 11.03.2021.

2. The petitioner is the Poosari of the temple i.e., Arulmigu Venkatachalapathi Thiru Kovil situated nearest to the residence of the petitioner. The said temple was not given electricity service connection and also for his house. Therefore, the petitioner applied for electricity service connection before the 2nd respondent dated 11.03.2021. The said application has not been considered and it is pending.

3. The learned counsel for respondents submitted that the petitioner failed to submit any documents to show that he is the owner of the house. That part, the residence of the petitioner is not assessed with property tax. If, the petitioner produce all requisite documents to prove his ownership for his residence by way of fresh application, then the second respondent is directed to consider the said application on merits in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
