IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT MADRAS
DATED: 06.03.2017

respondent Petition filed to review the order passed in W.P.No.29371 of 2013 dated 31.3.2015.

O R D E R
This review petition is filed to review the order dated 31 March 2015 in W.P.No.29371 of 2013.
2. Heard the learned Additional Advocate General on behalf of the State, the petitioners in the review application.
3. This Court taking into account the background facts, quashed the orders dated 21 May 2013 and 30 August 2013 and directed the petitioners to pass a consequential order to grant the eligible service benefits to the respondent. The petitioners have not challenged the said order before the Appellate Court. The order has therefore become final. It was only thereafter, the petitioners have come up with this application to review the order. The review petition was dismissed for default. Thereafter, the petitioners filed application to condone the delay in filing the application to restore the review petition. The said application was allowed by this Court so as to give one more opportunity to the petitioners to argue the review petition.
4. The grounds raised in the review application would amount to an attempt to re-argue the Writ Petition. There is no question of entertaining the review application in respect of a matter which has attained finality on the ground that certain aspects have not been considered by this Court. I do not find any error apparent on the face of the record to review the order passed on 31 March 2015.
5. In the upshot, I dismiss the review application. No costs.
6. The petitioners are directed to implement the order dated 31 March 2015 on or before 28 March 2017.
