This Court, on 01.04.2024 directed the Learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai to complete the trial in C.C.No.12647 of 2006 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

2. Since, four months period likely to expire on 01.08.2024 but still two more defence witnesses to be examined before argument, the present petition is filed to extend the time.

3. Considering the nature of the case and facts involved and since the said Court has no Presiding Officer for some time, it is necessary to extend the time for completion of trial. Accordingly, three months time is extended from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
