2. Under normal circumstances, this Court would not have entertained this habeas corpus petition. However, Madhavi produced certain letters addressed to the police written by Deepa @ Gajalakshmi to the effect that after her mother's death, she does not want to be with her father and wants to be on her own.

3. Today, Mr.Subba Anandhan, SSI, Kandachipurm PS, Arakandanallur Circle, Villupuram District produced Deepa @ Gajalakshmi, before this Court. On enquiry, Deepa @ Gajalakshmi stated that she was born on 20.05.1995, she has studied B.Sc., B.Ed., and was working as B.T. Assistant in a School. She further informed this Court that she had written the complaint dated 18.09.2020 to the police seeking intervention.

4. Since Deepa @ Gajalakshmi is a major and is able to take informed decisions, she set at liberty to chalk out her own life.

5. In view of above, this habeas corpus petition stands allowed.
