Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS directing the respondents to produce the body and person of the petitioner's son K.Murugan, aged about 29 years and his minor daughters (1) Gajalakshmi, aged about 9 years and (2) M.Vijayalakshmi, aged about 7 years before this Court, set them at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN, J.) The petitioner is the mother of one K.Murugan, aged about 29 years. According to the petitioner, her son Murugan along with his two minor children by name, Gajalakshmi and Mahalakshmi aged about 9 and 7 years respectively have been found missing from 16.2.2016. Hence, she gave a complaint to the 2nd respondent police on 16.02.2016. Since they were not secured, the petitioner has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. When the matter came up today for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case has been registered in Cr.No.155 of 2016 by the 2nd respondent and investigation is in progress.

3. Recording the same, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed with a direction directing the 2nd respondent to proceed with the investigation and take expeditious steps to secure the detenues.
