COMMON PRAYER : This Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to dispose within time frame the petitioners' representations dated 17.06.2019 seeking assignment of Grama Natham House site situated at No.108, Thozhupedu Village, Madurantakam Taluk, Chengalpattu District, comprised in Survey Nos.3/23 and 3/24 admeasuring to an extent of 110 Sqmtr in the light of the recommendation made by the 2nd respondent vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1292/2012/Aa3 dated 17.05.2012 and pass appropriate orders accordingly. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate as well as perused the material available on records.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, it is seen that in the light of recommendation made by the 2nd respondent vide proceeding in Na.Ka.No.1292/2012/Aa3 dated 17.06.2019, the petitioners have made representations dated 17.06.2019 to the 1st respondent seeking assignment of Patta for the aforesaid properties. Despite receipt of the said representations of the petitioners, the 1st respondent has not taken any action and given any reply to their representation dated 17.06.2019 so far. Hence, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' representation dated 17.06.2019 and pass appropriate orders on it within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this orders in accordance with law after affording sufficient opportunity to the petitioners herein. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the case.
4. With the aforesaid directions, the present Writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed if any. No costs.
