Application No.3206 of 2022 in O.P (D) No.19926 of 2019 (Filing No.) Application No.3206 of 2022 in O.P (D) No.19926 of 2019 (Filing No.) M.SUNDAR.J., Captioned application has been filed with a prayer to dispense with the production of what has been described as 'certified copy of an arbitral award dated 22.10.2018 bearing reference ACP No.TJ/SP/6 of 2018' [hereinafter 'impugned award' for the sake of convenience].

2. To be noted, captioned O.P (D) No.19926 of 2019 (filing number) has been presented in this Court under Section 34 of 'The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (Act No.26 of 1996)' [hereinafter 'A and C Act' for the sake of convenience and clarity] assailing the impugned award.

3. Before proceeding further, in the light of language in which subsection (5) of Section 31 of A and C Act is couched, I deem it appropriate to describe 'certified copy of award' as 'signed copy of award'.

gpa with a photocopy of the impugned award. Learned counsel points out that the photocopy of the impugned award, which was given to the petitioner, has been filed along with captioned case file.

5. Mr.K.M.Sriram, learned counsel for respondent is before this Court.

6. Leaving open the question as to whether a signed copy of the impugned award was served on the applicant/petitioner, which can be decided in the main OP, captioned application is ordered as prayed for. There shall be no order as to costs.
