O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 19.09.2022 passed by this Court in W.P.No.18655 of 2020, wherein this Court passed the following order :- "In that view of the matter, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order.

"That there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner in the light of the report submitted by the Sub-Collector, Ponneri dated 24.01.2017 and the recommendatory report or communication sent by the District Collector, Tiruvallur District dated 08.03.2017 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner within the said time frame.""

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, it is brought to the notice of this Court that pursuant to the above said order dated 19.19.2022, the respondents have considered the claim made by the petitioner and accordingly passed the order on 31.01.2024, and a copy of the said order is also placed before this Court. This Court has perused the order and is convinced that the respondents have complying with the order passed by this Court though belatedly. Hence, this Court is not inclined to continue 2/4

the contempt proceedings any further.

3. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed and it is open to the petitioner to take appropriate steps in the above said order dated 31.01.2024, if so advised.
