ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.02.2023 seeking 1/4

appointment for the petitioner on compassionate grounds in any suitable post in their services.

2. The case of the petitioner is that his father was working as Head Master in the Panchayat Union Elementary School at Pillapur, Maduranthagam Taluk and passed away on 22.05.2021. The petitioner who had completed Diploma in Mechanical Engineer in the year 1996 itself had made the application for compassionate appointment on 22.10.2001 to the second respondent. Further, during the year 2011, he sought about the status of his application with Assistant Educational Officer, Madurantagam under Right to Information Act, which according tho him, he received an information that his application is pending. While so, he made a representation to the respondents on 07.02.2023 seeking appointment, which is pending without consideration till date. Hence, this writ petition.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.10.2001 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader has no objection for the said order being passed.

Considering the limited relief as sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the petitioner to furnish a copy of the application dated 22.10.2001 to the respondents. On such furnishing, the respondents shall consider the application of the petitioner dated 22.10.2001 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
