Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to give priority to the petitioners in the ongoing appointment to the post of 1095 Sub Inspectors of Police for the years 2005-2007 and 2008 being recruited as per Letter M.S.No.749, Home, dated 31/8/09 through the Notification dated 1/4/2010 by appointing the petitioners first over and above other candidates who are juniors to the petitioners and since the present vacancies of 1095 include the petitioners.
