ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st to 3rd respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2025.
3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner resides at No.45, Mela Theru, Kilimangalam Post, Thittagudi Taluk, Cuddalore District along with her family members. It is the case of the petitioner that even before marriage, her husband was in possession in S.Nos.196/4 and 197 an extent of 0.4 1/2 cents. After their marriage, she has constructed a small house in the above said property and she got electricity connection and residing with her family without any interference in peaceful possession in the said property. 2/6
4.It is further submitted that the said property is Government land and the same was classified as Pattai Poramboke land. Therefore, the petitioner sought patta for the above said property and approached the respondents and made several representations periodically. However, the said representation has not been considered so far by respondents 1 to 3. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court. 5.At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Government Advocate for respondents that the representation dated 23.05.2025, made by petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed keeping in view Government Orders including G.O.(Ms)No.97 dated 21.02.2025 within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner. 6.
In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to respondents 1 to 3, to consider the representation dated 23.05.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, keeping in view Government Orders including G.O.(Ms)No.97 dated 21.02.
persons/stake holders, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
