2. The petitioners seek a direction to the respective respondent to receive their applications for the grant of auto rickshaw permit together with prescribed fee and to consider the same.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that there is a need for more auto rickshaws on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their permits.
4. In any event, as the petitioners' applications have not been received by the respective respondent, without going into the merits of the cases as projected by the petitioners, the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respective respondent to receive the petitioners' applications dated 30.4.2016, consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
